Above is a collection of the physical tools that I use day to day in my work as a designer. But these are only part of the picture – there are numerous conceptual and strategic tools I employ to understand customers, and craft solutions to their problems.
Methods of divergent exploration and convergent definition are at the core of my process. I look both inside and out, inwards to the business, outwards to the customer to get a full picture of the problem and solution spaces, and a strategic view on how to define value for both. Systems thinking and behavioural economics round out my approach, delivering scalable solutions based on a robust choice architecture.
As a design leader I inspire my team to excellence through raising a high bar, and helping the team to meet it by continual challenge and professional development.
