Qantas - 'Where Can I Go?'

An exciting new product for the Qantas customer, offering an alternative to traditional flight search.

September 27, 2017   ·   UX,Product Design,Interaction,UI,Experience

A new product designed and developed by the Qantas Digital booking products team, 'Where Can I Go?' allows customers to explore flight prices on a map.

The unique value of the solution is that customers do not have to have a defined destination, budget or time frame to search prices. Customers can use this new tool to get clarity about where is the best destination and the best time to travel to that destination based on their needs and budget.

'Where Can I Go?' enables both Commercial and Rewards pricing and availability to be exposed outside of the booking engines, which is a world first in the aviation industry. From a business perspective this allows more qualified conversion and a quicker purchase path.

I was involved in the project from initial discovery and technical feasibility workshops, all the way to user testing, final implementation and release strategy.

  • 'Where Can I Go?' (Desktop + Tablet) – 27 Sep 2017
  • 'Where Can I go?' (Mobile) – 28 Nov 2017

The product has achieved a conversion rate of 10% in the first 3 months
